Chikawa Week 2022

Welcome to our first ever Chikawa Week!Starting on October 2, 2022 and going until October 8, we will be dedicating a week of prompts that you all voted on to celebrate our favorite koto idiots. You may celebrate with fanfiction, art, videos, meta essays, whatever your heart desires, so long as it fits the designated theme. We will be hosting this on Twitter at @chikawaweek so you can follow us there for all the latest updates and to boost all our contributors. :)Any questions can be DM'ed at our chikawaweek twitter account, or if you'd like to speak to the mods directly, you can contact us at @satowasgf or @Cold_Flame96

Prompts & Descriptions

October 2: Firsts- This could be anything. First date, first kiss, first time experiencing something new, etc. The sky is the limit.October 3: Free Day- Self-explanatory. Since this is the day chapter 106 was released last year (aka when Satowa confessed), you can do whatever you like for it so long as it abides by the rules.October 4: Hands- Due to the nature of the instrument they're playing, there's a lot of focus on their hands. This could be about holding hands, a hand injury...so long as the hands are the main focus.October 5: Jealousy- Fairly self-explanatory. Requires some sort of jealousy, whether it's over skills, inanimate objects, or someone else.October 6: Touch- Touch is their most complex and prominent love language and the manga puts a lot of emphasis on it. Prompt just needs to emphasize on it.October 7: Strawberries- Chika is a huge strawberry fan, so anything that involves strawberries is acceptable, whether it's eating them or smelling like them.October 8: Future- The manga is still ongoing, so everything about their future is still up in the air. But where do you see them going? What do you see them doing? What sort of life do you imagine them having 10 years from now, 20...Really, anything goes.

Due to the ages of the characters involved and this being an open event that minors may participate in, we ask that you keep all submissions PG-13 or below.If you would like to address some potentially triggering topics (such as child abuse for instance due to Chika's past), we only ask that you tag or warn appropriately for it.

Participation

This is an open event, so anyone and everyone is invited to participate. Please see Rules page for what the guidelines are.You may choose to do as many prompts as you want, or as little. You can even do multiple of the same prompt. You can use art, fics, videos, metas, etc. as long as it fits the themes.When you submit your piece, be sure to specify which prompt you're doing and tag it with #chikawaweek on Twitter, so that we can boost it for you. If we somehow miss or forget one, feel free to DM or @ us as well to get our attention.If you're on Tumblr, simply @ chikawaweek in your post.

Question: Is there a word limit to the fics?
Answer: Absolutely not. If you're writing, they can be as long or as short as you want.Question: Can I participate if I'm not on Twitter or Tumblr?
Answer: Yes, you can. We have an AO3 collection that you can add your works to independently, or you're welcome to give the mods a shoutout on one of the social media sites listed if you want us to boost you.Question: Can I still participate if I don't get the prompts done in time?
Answer: Yes, of course. We understand that time doesn't always agree with us. Just tag or @ us just as you would normally. :)
